We are super excited to announce this new add-on that we have been working on for a while.
$100 - All Metal Playable Towers Set - Shipping April 2017
This is a fully gameplay-capable set of all Metal Towers for Defense Grid: The Board Game that are made in USA. This add-on will ship well in advance of the actual game product.
This includes all 14 Towers and the 5 Boost Platforms, 14 Hex bases for the towers and 14 pillars for tracking the shot tokens on the Towers.
We will be demoing Defense Grid: The Board Game at PAX South 2017 next weekend primarily using these metal sets. So please, swing by Booth #9036 and check them out!
These will ship from US Zip Code 98072 and will not be EU Friendly. We will be shipping all sets using USPS Priority Mail Small Flat Rate boxes for Domestic and International shipping. To calculate your expected shipping costs, you can use the USPS website https://postcalc.usps.com/
Some assembly is required. You will need a pair of metal snips as well as metal capable super glue to assemble them.

Kickstarter Exclusive Raspberry
So, the dirty little secret of making miniatures... You tend to want to sculpt all of them early to make sure they are done in time for when you Kickstarter ends.
Yep, we have a Raspberry sculpture. This was originally planned for the $100,000 stretch goal, but we have decided to unlock it now as a new Kickstarter Exclusive for all backers. As of right now, you can only get this through the Kickstarter edition of Defense Grid: The Board Game.
In the game, it is used as your token to track your team resources.

All our playing cards and all the map tiles will now be produced with a Linen finish!
In addition, we have added an extra Bulwark miniature to every copy, bringing our total miniatures count up to 72!

Late last week I was contacted by Jeff Pobst, CEO of Hidden Path Entertainment. They like our product so much they decided to get all of their employees a copy. They offered to buy them direct, but I felt it was best for our backers to include their copies in our final total.
As a result, HPE themselves just backed Defense Grid: The Board Game officially on Kickstarter about an hour ago!

Shipping Update & Final Backer Pledge Level

To start, we just added our final back level.

This level contains everything in the Kickstarter. Included with this is all 70 of the miniatures currently in the game, all stretch goals, and everything else.

As an extra bonus, all backers at this level will have the option of having a Skype call with Anthony Hanses, one of the creators of Defense Grid: The Board Game, to discuss anything they want to discuss.
Shipping Update
We understand that not having locked shipping fees has been a concern for some current and some potential backers. While we work to get these locked, we want to make this pledge.
When we go to collect the shipping fees, if you are not happy, you can request a refund for any items that have not yet been delivered from your Kickstarter pledge. You will get any money, minus any Kickstarter related fees we were charged, refunded.
You will have 28 days from when the shipping fees are requested to request a refund. The refund will be processed after the game has completed manufacture and has general availability. Due to manufacturing obligations, we likely won't be able to process any refund requests before then, but if we can, we will.
Stretch Goal #4 Unlocked!

Wow, we racked up another $10,000 in just about 10 hours! As a result, we unlocked our next major stretch goal.
All Kickstarter Editions of Defense Grid: The Board Game will now include a foil inlaid box wrap.
In addition, we added another Regenerator Miniature to every copy of the game, bringing our total miniatures up to 75!
Our next miniature will unlock at $75,000 and our next stretch goal is at $80,000.
For the $80,000 stretch goal, we will be upgrading some more components to chipboard.
